Need Help in Crysis ~spoiler~

Well, I guess I am on level 2, not sure though. We saved the Asian Hostage and then my partner took off, said he was going to help her. She is still there and my goals are as follows.

1) Extract the hostages at the excevation site
2) capture the communications trailer

I have been all over the island and I cannot find a thing. There is a communication trailer up on a hill near the Sniper rifle, but I understand nothing and when I downloaded the data from it I hot no updates. I am stuck and stupid. Please help.

You need to blow up the tanks :!

Then your partner will take the hottie to safe area !

When you download the data from the laptop you should initiate dialogue with some of your allies, then its a matter of following the green/yellow dots on your radar. I vaguely remember the part you are up to and to 'capture' the comms trailer you might have to kill every enemy in the vicinity.

Oh yeah blow up the tanks aswell

Hmm, I am still lost, I see no tanks. What do you mean tanks, like armored tanks? or tanks that hold fuel? I am so lost and think the game might be broken for me. I have only one green dot on my map and its right where the asian lady is standing waiting for something. We broke into the room and my partner said he would take care of it, but she is still standing there.

She doesn't leave.

You are suppose to get some tanks to blow up and then you get a message to head to the next point.

No tanks means you can't do this. Load up an earlier save and try again.

Before you go to the school try their HQ first and see if that makes a difference.

You are at the first big village with the school and gas station right?

I'm actually in the same area, with a different problem.

I'm trying to clear the area of all KPA's, but one is stuck in a bookshelf and no matter what I do, I cannot kill him. The only thing that does anything is a flashbang.
Shooting, punching, grenades, even the rocket launcher will not kill this guy. I really don't want to start the level over again (first time thru, I had the same problem as the OP).

Any way to kill this guy?

edit: just to clarify, I've found the hostage, destroyed the tanks and found the comm trailer. This is the only thing preventing me from moving on.

restart the level :!
green dot should point towards the tank :!

I am talking about Tanks with 120mm gun

Yea, the problem was certainly not me, it was the game, after we located the hostage and my partner said to take care of the tanks, he disappeared and the tanks never came, Soooooo, I restarted level and it worked perfectly, thanks. Misle, jsut restart the level or the game, your not far into it.

im stuck in this level also. freed the asian chick. killed the tanks with the missile launchers. killed all the KPA (i think). Now im supposed to find the excavation site to rescue all the civilian hostages. where the hell is the excavation site. This is what my objectives look like

This was posted elsewhere (I don't remember where exactly), but there is a definite bug in this level. It seems that you absolutely have to go to the upper communications truck download the data (which tells you the hostage is in the school) before you go into the base. From there you can make your way into the base, get to the hostage, which initiates a cutscene. Then you are told to take out the tanks. Now this part is important; if, after blowing up one of the tanks, your teammate says "Only one more to go!" or something along those lines, you are fine. If he does not say anything, then you've got the glitch, and if you take out the second tank, you will not get a new objective. The only way to fix this seems to be to reload to an earlier save (many people are reporting simply restarting the level) and trying again. Hopefully Crytek patches this soon.

I missed the communications truck the first time I finished the game, and I had no problem.

yea this big is pissing me off. my teammate doesnt say anything after i blow up 1 tank. I even uninstalled/reinstalled the game. Definitely not just me. Other people in the incrysis forums are experiencing this too. What? some copies of the game are buggy while others are not? Looks like there are bugs in the later levels too. EA product...go figure :roll:

a quick google found this to be a very common scripting bug and i found the solution in some random forum.

just kill all the tanks and all the enemy, then just head southeast out of the village, you will see a path - cant miss it if your compass says SouthEast. go in the cave by the waterfall. once u finish that the script gets back on track if your restarts didnt work.


after that just follow the path, it is pretty long and there are lots of KPA on the path.

Looks like I've been really lucky. Apparently, I'm almost finished and haven't had a single broken script/spawn/trigger yet.

yea. people kept on talking about a waterfall. I thought they were talking about the waterfall in the front of the village but that wasnt it.
