Hello everyone,My dear uncle 81 recently widowed, needs help to connect his comp via a dial up Modem.i`m unfortunately way too far to do it ,but i`m willing to pay,via paypal or USPS mo. to the person who has a little time and compassion.please contact me with your offer, and thank you, jack.

Just have him call comcast (or AT&T DSL if its available) and get broadband. Much faster, less complicated, no dialing, no "dropped calls" etc.... Sure it's a little more $$ but if he's 81 I'm sure he can probably afford it.

EDIT: I'm nowhere even close to Niles, so I can't help there, sorry...

Thank you for your reply,he had comcast, but the old residence doesn't allow it in? so he is forced to use a dial up modem which was bought,EXCEPT he is really really bad with comp. tech and uses it for communication only, and need it badly, but no one knows how to,thanks again.

Do you mean he had Comcast but he is in a new residence and they do not allow it? It still would seem that AT&T DSL would be a better option over dial-up....which dial-up does he plan to use AOL? AT&T DSL has a good deal on DSL, probably cheaper than AOL. I am in the area and I could potentially help. Send me a PM.
