The nuts that go through the wooden slats and the angle iron enter the wood and shaped like a barrel and have a large torx slot. Anyone know what these are called and where to get some? I tried Home Depot...

The nut prevents easy removal and encompasses a large portion of the bolt and allows compression against the wooden slat.

Thanks.

does it have a square shank underneath it? if so i would think you can use a regular smooth carriage bolt.

or are you saying you can't access the nut on the other side?

if it's just a button head torx you should be able to get them online, if nothing else.
