Hello all,

I need some help figuring out what kind of NIC this is. It was in a computer I am trying to fix. No one knows what it is, so I can't get the right driver. The MAC address is 00E07DC5708F. It has no brand names or anything on it. I really need some help here! Sorry about the crummy pic, but that's the best I can do. Other misc things written on it are:
37NB-1216A-211C Rev:1.1 - right under the FCC compliance statement
PCI 10/100M /1216 - on back on top of bar code
1216A1101CF11667 - on back below bar code

That's all I can get from it. I'd really appreciate your help on this. Is there a way to find the card type from the MAC address? That was my only thought on identifying it.

Thanks,
Swan

Should be an FCC number on it somewhere...? You could look here and possibly find the maker...?

The pic does suck... :p

Kinda looks like a Linksys possibly...? Or even a Belkin...?

Found a link for "37NB" on Google. It links to a page in japanese, with a Realtek reference, and that reference, in turn, links to this picture.

It's a 3way.

Funny, I don't remember seeing a 3way in Canada. Do you have 3ways in the U.S.? I suspect they're big in France, but they probably call them menage a trois.

Sorry, couldn't help it. I also couldn't find a support page.

Hope this sheds some light, and good luck with your 3way.

There is no manufacturer name on the card. I don't see anywhere where is says "FCCID:" like the FCC page said it should. The only FCC thing I see is:
"Complies with FCC class B" Then right under that is says:
"37NB-1216A-211C Rev:1.1"

Another number on the card is GQ968. It's right by the capasitors in the bottom right corner. FCC comes up with some results for GQ9, but not the whole thing.

The chip markings are:

RTL8139C
1B152A1
147B Taiwan
The chip seems to be fabbed by RMC

Thanks for all your help so far!

OK, as I said, it's a Realtek chip.

Here is the link to their generic drivers. Choose the RTL8139C(L) or (L)+, I'm not sure which, but probably the first one.

I've used the generic Realtek drivers before on an Ovis brand card. Worked fine.
