This one's sung by a woman who has a relatively low-pitched voice. I usually hear this mixed in with club music, but I have heard it as a discrete song. I haven't been successful with Google either in finding this... The lyrics go like "there's only one day" and "one way" and so forth.

Any ideas?

This is a tough one. Where do you hear this music? Do you have a link to one version that has the mixed voice?

I hear it in the occasional advertisement for a club or something, and I've also heard it on the satellite radio at the gym, mixed in with other similar music (dance/club). The lines in the chorus of the song all seem to end in day and way and words that sound like that. The singing is somewhat monotone, and it's got a pretty catchy beat.

that voice is epic (woman in video is lip syncing. its not her voice).

I was picturing actually a 300lb black woman to get that kind of vocal power, and it looks like I might be right. The singer looks like it could be Martha Wash.

Sadly, this isn't the group I'm looking for...

I doubt it's this from the description but Ghetto Love by Spinerette? I just heard it on the radio and remember it having a few lines rhyming with way/day (I think).

No.. The song I'm thinking of is not vocally strong, in that the woman singing is singing in sort of a monotone. I think it would most likely be found on some club dance compilation, and I really doubt it's Madonna. It's not a song that would be played on Top 40 radio.

You're probably mishearing the lyrics.

Do you remember the name of the club? Do you have any clue when it was released?
