Hi everyone

I am new to Anandtech,

I have a list of Intel ES Chips that I need help to identify, some I already know:

QGPL x3360
QHEL
QHEY E8500
QHFZ
QHEX
QGHD
QHHU
QHEZ e8400
QGPK q9550
QHHZ x3320
QGPN x3350
QHGF
QHFA e3110
QHFM

If anybody can help fill the gaps.

I tried cpu world but they don't have any on their site

Thanks in advance

Welcome to anandtech. I'm not sure if this page applies to ES chips or not, but most likely, it will at least help: http://processorfinder.intel.com/ I know you don't know the sSpec #, but after you select a "Family", it will give you an entire list of all of the processors in that family, including their sSpec #'s.

POP the CPU in a board and have it do a POST.

It should tell you everything on the main POST screen.

ES chips dont have special hidden model numbers on post unless your BIOS doesnt support the chip

EVeryone is also correct. You giving wrong code numbers and bin numbers. Why dont you just LOOK on top of the IHS. Even ES's are STAMP'd with the code CPU on it.

And just out of curiosity, How the hell DO you have that many ES chips yet you have no idea what they are. This doesnt make sense. 45nm ES's are UBER UBER RARE. There not like 65nm. Trust me, ive been trying to get a Q9550 ES you have shown there, and its nearly impossible.

Intel was being serious pricks about giving out 45nm ES's.

Or is it just a list? Because if its a list where you can buy, GRAB THAT Q9550ES. End of story.

It is a list of what i have been offered.

I want to know what they are before I buy. I can offer a price then.

I asked for more of the markings so just waiting now.

The numbers I got from e-mail was like QGPK thats it.

I found some more out:

QGPL x3360
QHEL Pentium Dual-Core Mobile 2 GHz/667 MHz/1MB
QHEY E8500
QHFZ
QHEX Core 2 Duo 3.33/1333/6, Wolfdale core E8600
QGHD
QHHU
QHEZ e8400
QGPK q9550
QHHZ x3320 or Intel Core 2 Duo E6700
QGPN x3350
QHGF
QHFA e3110
QHFM Dual-core Xeon 3.16/1333/6, Wolfdale core.

My honest advice.

If you can get a good price on the Q9550 grab it.

Seriously that is the hardest mofo chip to get, and im suprised someone is selling you it.

Next would be the E8600

The rest is absolute crap unless theres a QX Yorkie ES in there somewhere.

Do you mean the Q9550 in general or just the ES chip??

I have had around 10 Q9550's OEM now sold them all for £299 each

To be fair my plan is to buy them, then sell them to make a profit if I am honest.

I think I will just make an offer for all and see what I get
