Need help. Ideas to self promote my massage practice in a Rec Center

OutHouse

Lifer
so far i have flyers and giving a seminar explaining the benifits of receiving sports massage.

i need a couple more ideas please.

oh and keep the happy ending comments to yourself, I have heard it many times. if you cant be serious please dont post in my thread.

Find all the medical schools in your area. The student doctors and student dentist will be GLAD if you drop off soe $$$ saving coupons.

I get my dental care at a traching college... and a massage person came in and gave them all coupons... they were happier than the proverbial pig.. and they were all saying how smart the massage person was... and how they were really gonna go...etc etc etc...

🙂

Try to focus on why someone who has never had one should get one..

I myself have never had a massage, and I am scared too. To many seinfeld jokes running in my head.

did you watch scare tactics last night? if that didnt scare people from massage i dont know what else would.

no, I didn't..

But seriously, you should put something like:

"Never had a massage? Here are some reasons you should blah blah"
"Plus I won't touch your wang"

Serious response: Go to all local fitness facilities- both gyms with weights and aerobics places and ask if you can leave some of your cards at the front desk.

Edit: also, it helps to talk to the owner (easier in smaller facilities) and see if they can funnel clients your way. I am a personal trainer and I can tell you that a lot of the people I work around and work with at the gym also seek the services of a massage therapist.

thank you, good suggestion.

OK, serious response.

Get some business cards printed up, hand them out freely. If you think you get a serious person interested, offer them the first massage 1/2 price, or even free. Of course to get this special deal, they have to tell their friends about you if they feel they got a quality massage.

A friend I know who does massage stapled a 1st massage free coupon to her card (it had to be initialed by her to be valid) and gave them to a crapload of harried clerks and store owners as she did her Christmas shopping one year. She was boooked solid for the whole next year. She basically got herself set-up in business using that method for a couple of years.
