Ok, I am really a noob when it comes to networking and routers. Basically what has been happening is every night my internet bandwidth will be extremely spotty, it would go completely down like someone else was stealing all my bandwidth b/c I would only get downloads of around 5K/s. I would be playing Warcraft 3 online and I would get dropped. I don't have a firewall set up through the router because I don't want to not be able to play Warcraft.
So I checked my router settings, and changed 2 settings: I Enabled "Discard PING from WAN side" and Disabled VPN Pass-Through settings "PPTP" and IPSec. That immediately fixed the problem last night. Am I right when I think someone was using my computer with this "VPN" setting?
Also, I checked the Status logs for the router:

At the end here it looks like someone connected through my router where it says "DHCP Request success", am I correct? If so, why would disabling the VPN and WAN Ping stop this? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. 🙂
