Need help: Horror TV show or special or something...vampire dentists?

I remember this tv special or something when I was younger, couldn't have been later than the early 90's...it was a bunch of short horror stories. I remember between them there was a skull rotating or something. One of them was about a dentist that was like a vampire or something. (This is NOT 2006's Vampire Dentist). I remember one scene a person is going under general anesthesia or coming out of it and they see the fuzzy image of the hygenist & the dentist closing in on them with vampire teeth. Anyone know what this is?

sounds like 'amazing stories' from the late 80s

each episode was split into 2 or 3 short stories

where 'family dog' came from, one of my favorites
