1. Abit Kr7a
2. Soyo sy-k7v dragon plus!
3. Epox EP-8KHA+

for those who favor one or the other.. tell me what persuaded you to pick one over the other. in otherwords, for those of you that own one of these boards tell me why u think its better than the others.. i really cant decide 🙂

first of all help me out here with this statement from tomshardware which stated this about the soyo board:
"A separate feature allows this board to be automatically run in its fastest mode without much extra effort, which helped propel Soyo to the top of all the benchmarks. " i dont understand the "feature" he is talking about

which is the better company overall and would handle problem issues better?

THANKS for all the help!!! im clueless now!

Either of the Abit, Soyo or Epox ones that you mentioned are good for overclocking and very good quality boards.
The only thing that I would point out right now is that Epox 8kha+ boards have a problem with the capacitors sticking up too far to allow the use of a GF4 card. I would probably stick with either Abit or Soyo cause it depends on what features you want. The Soyo has raid, lan, and 6 channel sound built in, while the Abit Kr7a standard doesn't have the raid but you can get that version. The Abit seems to be faster in benchmark tests too, but only by a small margin.

I like the Abit board and probably would go with that one cause I don't need alot of extra features, but if you want them, go with the Soyo.
