Milwaukee to Muskegon = 2.5 hours (High speed ferry Text)

Muskegon to Flint = 2.25 hours

Better than going through Chicago IMO.

🙂🙂

Yeah, good idea. Already thought of that. Have to hit the ferry at specific times and the cost is prohibitive.

Automobile*
One Way $59.00
Round Trip $118.00
Trailer**
One Way $50.00
Round Trip $100.00

Be fair and offset those costs with how much you'd spend in gas going around the long way.

Very true, I will have to factor that in. The van packed gets 27-29 mpg.

Your time is worth something too. You can be posting on ATOT while on the ferry!! (given the right equipment).

I think that is a very optimistic MPG estimate.

Historically that is dead on highway mileage for my van (Venture) at 70 mph, not my FIL's cargo van. Any faster and I lose mileage, that is also with the air conditioning off...turn that on and I bump down to 24-25 mpg. And that is fill up to fill up, not the onboard computer generated readout. I got 28 mpg trailering my SeaDoo up to Northern Minnesota. And by me saying the van is packed, volume wise it will be full. Weight wise it will not be that heavy (maybe 750-900 lbs).
