Need Help Getting Rid Of Nasty Virus!

Its on my other computer. It makes everything lock up. I used Adaware 2007, and it said to restart to get rid of it, i did so, and then it locked up still. I do a repair of windows, and it works until i restart my computer. Any idea how to fix it? Am i fucked?

You need to look that one up. That is a real virus and not adware, hence adaware is not working. It is also really old. Even the AV in ubcd4win should have the definitions and removal for it.

PS - SpyorDie007's advice is the safest. Remember that most variants invect EXE and SCR files.

9x out of 10 this virus already affected your PC. I had the same problem. Try AVG. I had to format my whole drive and start over.

Ad-Aware has lackluster detection and removal characteristics. While it was the top dog several years ago, and millions of people still rely on it to "clean" their system, in todays world it barely touches the surface other than finding cookies and MRU's. I'd also like to mention that relying on a single AV/AS to clean an infected system is not recommended. Nowadays you should run between 5-10 different utilities, review logs, delete files manually, etc. in order to truly clean a hosed system. Reinstalling your OS should be a last resort; changing your surfing habits and working on prevention is the key.
