Need help getting network folder to show up in quick launch bar

I use to have quicklaunch shortcuts to folders on my work's network. I want a quickluanch to take me to f:\2045 folder for example. How do I do this. ( i use to have this set up by comp died and i'm setting up new one)

Make the shortcut on your desktop and then copy it over to quick launch.

Yeah...ok...it's the MAKING part I'm having trouble with.

How do I create a shortcut to a specifil folder on a network? Once I have it created I know how to get it to the quicklaunch bar.
