Need Help getting Celeron 566/Abit BX6 To Post.

I just got my Abit BX6 rev 2 and a Celeron 566 overclocking kit from Sunshinestar.

I cannot get the system to post past the Celeron 566 message in the opening screen in the bios. The system is stopping just short of the Ram check and going no further. I tested the 128MB stick of RAM in another computer and it is fine.

One other thing, I recently fried my old power supply and motherboard with a mysterious power surge. So I am using a new 300 watt power supply along with the new motherboard and CPU.

I have tried clearing the CMOS but no help there.
When I removed the Ram completely, I got no post message so I believe the RAM is fine, based on testing it in another computer. I have removed all the components except PS, MB, CPU, and the RAM. But cannot get past first post.

Any ideas?

check your system with an older cpu; eg not cuppermine 128 (celeron2)
if it posts either the cpu is broken or you need a bios update

if it doesn't post with an older cpu probably you've got a broken mainboard

Well, I swapped the CPU, video card and the ram, as well as the keyboard and mouse for good measure. Still nothing.
