Just got an Nvidia GeForce2 GTS card to replace my Voodoo3, and everything seems to be working properly, except the DVD playback.
Now, I have the DVD software player that I used with my V3 on my comp. It's CineMaster, and it came with my computer back when I got it a couple years ago. Never had any problems using it with the V3.
So, I pop in a DVD now, and it opens the DVD player, but it never starts playing. It just freezes, and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Dlt the player.
Anyone know what the problem is? Is it the age of my CineMaster player? Would a new version of it help (these damn DVD software players seem to be hard to get upgraded without having to buy the whole thing over again)? I know the GeForce2 is supposed to support pretty good DVD playback, so I was kind of taken back when it didn't work (I always get scared when these sorts of things happen, as my DVD collection consists of over 160 titles and I still don't have a standalone player
)
Anyway, I'm sure it's a minor problem, and any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
