Need help from OC Master - AthlonXP 2000+/Dragon Ultra KT333

Newbie looking for help from an OC Master either indirectly (through online available literature) or directly (guide through whole Bios setting process).

I just got a new setup with the:

KT333 Dragon Ultra Platinum Ed.
Athlon XP 2000+
Cool Mushkin PC2700 - 512MB

I want to juggle between getting the most out of my Mobo/CPU/RAM and subtle overclocking. Documentation that'll show me how to tweak my Bios settings would be greatly appreciated, but someone to hold my hand would be better (last thing I'd want to do is burn out my system before it's even paid for i.e. DiscoverCard).

Any and all help would be appreciated.

I'm in the same boat as you. Newbie as well with the EXACT same setup you got. Just finished building today. Thinking I'm gonna start slowly upping the voltage on the ddr to get a higher fsb speed. All the oc'ing guides I've found are from 1-2 years ago, so it feels like I'm fumbling around in the dark.
 
Upping the voltage is a next to last resort (last resort is peltier cooling). First, relax the memory timings, by using the "Standard" or "Normal" settings in BIOS. Then, up the FSB in intervals, until the computer won't boot. Then, start backing down, and use a CPU intensive program (Sisoft Burnin, Prime95, folding@home, etc) to find the highest FSB at which the CPU is stable (ie, runs aforementioned program for a satisfactory amount of time without crashing). Now, compare this speed to the rated speed for your memory. If you have PC2100 and you can't get past 150 FSB, maybe it's time to try some PC2700. Or maybe you're happy at what you're at. You may increase voltages once you've found the max at stock voltages, but this adds much more heat (and danger). Once you're happy with your overclock, now you want to tighten your memory timings. You want to try setting CAS Latency to 2.0, setting Bank Interleave to 4-way, and setting Command Rate to 1T. You may also play with the tRP and tRAS settings if you so desire. Use a memory intensive program, such as memtest86 or Sisoft Memory / Memory and Cache Bandwidth. You should also use a benchmarking program to check the results of each tweak, I've noticed that setting CL = 2 on overclocked memory may lead to a decrease in performance. Also, the standard BIOS tweaks are:

ALL caching and shadowing disabled.
L2 Cache ECC checking disabled.
Floppy Seek disabled.
Quick POST enabled.
