this puzzles me, because the computer runs fine with xp from the main SATA hd, but when the two ide drives are plugged in, this error comes up. the problem started because of a crappy PSU, and now i guess it corrupted these files because of a sudden shutdown, and its crucial that the data on these drives isnt formated. how can i repair them vial the recovery console to ensure they work properly.

i still dont understand why windows related files need to be on the drive for it to operate. i really hope someone can help me.
