need help forming a hypothesis

recently i got the following question for an essay (i edited some stuff)

Choose either Person A or Person B and prepare your paper to answer the following questions: What kind of backgrounds brought Person A or Person B to his field ? What were person A or Person B's goals? What did he contribute to his field and what damage did he do?

now, the essay seems to be based purely on fact how can i come up with a hypothesis

Most people up here have trouble forming a sentence, much less a hypothesis!

🙁

i just dont understand how i can formulate a hypothesis when the question is based on all fact/no opinion

Half of your hypothesis is in the last statement.

What did he contribute to his field and what damage did he do?

How do you know he contributed anything, and how do you know what damamge (if any) was caused?

his particular accomplishments and the damage he caused are well documented
