Need Help Formating C: with Windows Me =)

Hello Everyone!

I hate to bother everyone with my problems but a friend told me that anadtech.com was a great place for trouble shooting and problems so i decided to test my luck heehhe.



OK heres the problem i have no idea how to format with windows me

with windows 98 all i would do was restart in msdos mode under start but Me doesnt have that! ummmmmm ive deleted all the unistall information and files that were under add/remove programs so theres nothing left there. ive searched under help in (ME) but all it says is to restart your comp and hold ctrl but it brings up 4 menus no dos =(

its been 5 months since my last format and ive been dying to for days just couldent find what to do if anyone has an ideas or suggestions feeel free to post thanks everyone =)

Are you wnting to format the entire drive or just a partition?

I would use a Windows Me Start Up Disk and run fdisk and then format from the A prompt

Yup, just use a Win98 disk or WinME disk and boot into it. You can download them from www.bootdisk.com, or just create them in the system.
