Sata I 80 GB

i using it for everything (gaming, decode, movies, internet, burning DVD/CD)

should i upgrade and get AM2 or just upgrade the cpu to x2 3800.

For what it would cost you to change platforms you could get a 4600 X2 or 4800 X2 and still save money.

i guess i just going to get x2 3800. should i also have to upgade my hard drive like SATA II hd or not?

$145 for x2 3800.

is the price okay (new cpu)?

Does your motherboard support SATA II? Getting a bigger hard drive may come in handy. I've seen 3800 X2's going for somewhere between $140 to $160, so $145 is a pretty good price.
