Need help for something "californian" for a gift

So i've recently met this girl from the UK. I guess we're dating...but she lives here and needs to find something "californian" for a xmas gift for her brother. I've lived here all my life and have NO idea what that means! lol

The most californian thing i can think of is sandals. but thats lame.
