i want to be cool like everyone in school and get an ipod or ipod mini, but i just KNOW that the battery will permanentally die within 2 years . . .

i looked at my playlist and its about 1.2GB only . . . i dont even listen to a lot of the music

i've been looking for a pda to help me become organized . . . do you guys think its worth it to get a pda with a CF and/or SD slot and earphone jack? i could get a 512MB or 1GB card and put music on that . . . would that work?

does anyone use something like this? how is battery life and music quality?

I used an iPaq w/ headphones. It is good quality sound, but use an amp to reduce battery use. I'd get about 6-8 hours.

battery life on PDA's blow.

I have an e740. The fact that it dumps its internal memory when its batteries die doesent help matters either....

If you think you will need to get a PDA for organizing stuff, you probably don't.

Save your money and get like a creative muvo2 or something.

I don't get it, if you want to be trendy, why are you posting on a tech site? Throw away the fact that fashion slaves and kids like the ipod, and all you have is an overpriced player with no features and a ton of cons vs. a single (debatable, at that) pro.
