Need help for fan orientation for CPU cooler

I am using the thermosonic thermoengine cpu cooler with a 60mm to 80mm fan adaptor so I can use a quiet case fan to cool the heatsink. This is going to be used in a non-overclocked smp system as quietness/silence is the primary goal.

What I need to know, what is going to be better -- Have the fan blow air down onto the heatsink, or to draw air through the heatsink up through the fan?? Does it matter? What will the dust situation be like with the choice?? Thanks

eclectro, most people here would agree that it's better to have the CPU fan blow onto the HS, not away, it's more efficient

Zim Hosein is correct...

Unless your using and Alpha 6035 its generaly agreed that blowing onto the HS is best...
