Hello guys,
Last week I received a 3D Blaster Annihilator 2 card with Geforce2 GTS
chipset. I installed it in a very conservative way --- I reformatted
the C: drive and reinstalled the Win95 OSR2. After it is done, I realized
that the screen always gets hung intermittently. The only I get the
machine back to work is to press "reset" button on the tower case which
leads a "scandisk" action of the subsequent booting. I even tried to
install Win98SE, the problem still persists. I already submitted a
tech-request toward Creative lab about this issue , but still waiting for
response. When I put back my old video card, then everything looks in
the way it's supposed to be. The followings are my PC hardware/software
setup:
0) Win95OSR2 or Win98SE
1) Pentium II in 400Mhz
2) Asus P2B mother board with 440BX chipset
3) Micron 128MB PC100 SDRAM
4) DVD Decoder card on PCI slot
5) IDE controller on PCI slot
6) Creative Sound Blaster AWE64
7) ISA network card
8) Annihilator2 card on AGP
9) IBM Hard Drive running in 66MHz(hooked to IDE controller in 5)
10) Seagate Hard Drive running in 33MHz
Can any person here tell me what could possibly cause this problem?
And possible solution for it?
Thanks in advance! 🙂
