Need help flashing firmwire

Let me start off by saying i am no master at networking, i know jsut enough to get by; except in this case...

I started off looking at this post:

I followed JackMDS's instructions on the flashing of the firmware but I always seem to get the Timeout message. This may be because I have a different router and adaptor

My router is;

My adaptor is:

I follow the directions to the key but can't seem to get anywhere.
is the router not compatible with the "dd-wrt.v23_generic.bin"?
Is there any other way to sync my xbox360 with the router/adaptor i have?

Any help is much appreciated...
