Hi, my company just bought 2 Compaq V2000's for the field. I would have personally ordered something a little better but they were cheap and aren't going to be used very much. The laptops don't have Wireless, but the onboard ethernet won't work on either machine.
I tried plugging them into my home network and made sure it was configured properly, but it said it had limited or no connectivity. It did recognize the cable which is a good sign. At the office, one of them worked but the other one had the same problem.
I need to get these working soon. I doubt both of them have defective ethernet so it must be a configuration issue. I tried the basic troubleshooting and couldn't find anything wrong.
I had the same problem with my Neo2 Platinum motherboard. The Nvidia ethernet could never acquire a signal address, but the onboard Realtek Giga Lan worked perfectly.
Any ideas on how to resolve the issue? Thanks for the help.
