Hi guys
The fan on my OEM 3dlabs video card is making some godawful noises, so I figure I'd better replace it before it does and my card fries (it's a really specific model for my flatpanel display, so i can't just replace the video card :( )
Anyways, it's a Sunon fan, part number 054006BH04. Basically, this means the fan is 50x50x7 frame, high speed, ball bearing, 5V 0.7W TWO PIN power leads. I searched around on the net, but I can't find anything like this, even on Sunon's site. Any ideas?
Thanks

in the past when i've replaced /added a fan to a video card , i usually just go to radio shack and pick up a run-of-the-mill socket 7 cooling fan and screw it down into the heatsinks on the video card.

is this an option for ya? (i know it's not ideal, but it SHOULD work)

I suggest buying a ThermalTake Blue orb. The fan is VERY quiet and the heatsink looks really nice. Also very cheap.

Try 2cooltek.com. I know he sells a couple 50mm fans, one of which is a Sunon. He also sells video chip coolers. One of these might work for you if you can't find a replacement fan.

If you can't find one.......try replacing it with Blorb or Globalwin FA420, I think 2cooltek has these.

The fan on my Geforce card just died last week so I just swap my old celeron h/s just to wait for Blorb I ordered to arrive.
All in all, it works nicely but I lost 2 pci slots :frown:

Cool, thanks. Are any/all of these3 fans real thin like the original one was? It's face-down on the video card, so i don't have that much clearance between it and the card below. The current one is like 7mm thick.
Thanks again,
Rob
