Need Help Finding Research paper topic.

Hey yall, whats a good thing to write about?

I have to write a research paper regarding the discourses of a certain peoples. (Ex: Theroy of how blacks have a certain tone in their voice, how whites have a certain tone in their voice, how kids in poor schools with poor education will never be rich, how some people cannot be taught in school .. or the "Mainstream Discourse".

Now I want to do my research paper on something interesting, but all of my ideas are too broad. My first idea: How millions of people's discourses can interact inside of one nation, yet still strive for one goal. But that was too broad. Now I'm out of ideas!

Ideas/Suggestions? Thanks!

The first rule for writing research (or any other type) papers is that it doesn't have to be exciting or even something you agree with, it just has to be well written. Find a point of view it's easy to defend and write the paper. It's an excercise in writing not an opportunity to broaden the knowledge of mankind.

Even so, I can't think of any topic that I can really 'defend'. I'm clueless. Plus where's anyone going to find a book that talks about "Multicultural Discourses Geared Towards College"? I wouldn't even have a clue where to begin.

How about:

How do the Airforce look at an individuals discourse & attributes in order to determine wether or not he/she will be a good candidate for a fighter pilot?

Idk lol.
