What is the name of that product/checmical/insecticide that gets on the insect so it can be taken back to the hive and kill them all (or most I guess over time) there instead of kill on contact? I can't recall the name of it.

Pretty much any food style insecticide does that... Examples: ant killer, any kind of pest node (those little circular things with insecticide inside of them, good for roaches n stuff).

As for brand names? Sorry, can't help ya :(

Where do you live? Here in Florida, roaches seem to be the main problem. Ants too, of course, but those are really outdoors.

Thanks. Mainly ant problem. Sprays that create that barrier effect doesn't really do the job and neither does the kill on contact.

I think you're thinking of Combat ant traps, but you can do the same thing with sodium borate (Borax). Just mix it with some sugar and water to make a paste. This is assuming they are sweet eating ants.

Borax. That's what it was. Thanks!
