I was found a website while I was at work that gave the power requirements for different devices ie. Hard Drive = 40 - 50 watts, mother board = ????, and so on. If anyone knows where this might be found, please post the link here.

I am looking at a new power supply for a system I plan to build and this link showed all the devices and their power requirements. It may have been on amdmb.com but I could not find it again. Any help would be appreciated.

Found it! UpgradeSource.com

There are probably a lot out there, but the only one I know off hand is at PC Power & Cooling. Of course, they recommend their power supplies, but you'll get the general idea.

errr.. their test is very lame. they don't ask for many specifics.. i.e. a 1.4 Tbird is rated that same as a 133 Pentium, but whether or not the case is in a "quiet" or "moderately noisy" area makes a difference. bah humbug :(

Well, as I said, that's the only one I know of off-hand. My Dad just had a PSU that came with his SuperMicro 760A chassis die on him, and he bought a 400W PC Power & Cooling model and he said it works great. I know he took that little selector test, but I haven't seen any others. Maybe AMD has one on their page of approved PSUs?
