Didn't know where to put this but here goes (Mods please move to appropriate location)
:
Hey guys, well its finally time for me to build a 2nd computer, since I sold my old one for relativly cheap to my cousin ^^

I live in the UK by the way.

Basically, there are some things I am confused on... Ever since the new processor line up came out I have had a hard time deciding which processor, motherboard and RAM to get :(.

Well again I have a £500-£600 budget... (About $900 - $1100).

Basically I thought about this: (Still didn't decide on Processor, RAM, Motherboard...)
For this rig I intend to play the latest games, aswell as do other multimedia stuff, but MAINLY gaming.

These prices include the (hated) 17.5% tax ;)

Sansun SN-C0503 Gaming Case - £37/$61
Ebuyer Silver 500w ATX Power Supply - £9/$18
Liteon SOHC-5235 52x32x52x16x Internal IDE Combo Retail - £31/$57
Sapphire X800 PRO 256MB - £174/$317
Seagate ST3200822A Barracuda 200GB ATA/100 - £63./$115
Creative Labs SBS560 5.1 Speaker System - £38/$69
Processor - ?
Motherboard - ?
RAM - ?

Total (so far) - 347.88/$631.22

Basically this is my idea sort of setup, nice large HD, great graphics for games and imaging, a surround sound speaker system (I want to take my gaming to the next level, and I love large bases), a good case and power supply.

ANY help at all with changing the configuration to ANYTHING thats better please say so! And help me with the Processor, Motherboard and RAM please :)

Also, just to say I was THINKING of the AMD 64-bit 3500+ (Venice Core). But then again, the 3000+ is way cheaper, and then only 400MhZ lower, how much difference can the 400MhZ make? Or perhaps the 3200+?
Any info is appreciated.

Thank you for lookin',
Final

Just to say I want to upgrade to 5.1/7.1 speakers (and perhaps sound card) that concide with my budget.

I like big bases, aswell as the urge to upgrade my gaming experience a few levels.

If you're considering overclocking, getting a 3000+ and overclocking it could get you some very nice results on a budget.

Is ebuyer the brand of the PSU? Anyway, an $18 PSU is a very bad idea. You should spend at least $50 here and try to stick to a quality brand.

If you're looking for more bass, Logitech makes speaker sets with a lot of bass. The x-530 set should be about that pricerange. If you're looking for more bass, the z-5300 set would be more powerful.

get a better psu, made by antec/enermax/ocz/fortron/seasonic

3000+ with the msi nf4 plat (which has great sound, you won't have to buy a soundcard)

I see, 3000+ sounds good.

And the PSU didn't seem much of a matter to me, but I will reconsider it now.

if you're a hardcore gamer, you'll want wired keyboards and mice, since wireless will give u the slightest lag.. i myself have a wireless set and it works pretty well, but it might cost u in fps. the logitech lx line can be had for pretty cheap.

I know its your first build, and you just joined, so ill go easy on you

but, in all fairness, you need to know NEVER to skimp out on the PSU. NEVER
Im sorry, but if your building a system, you cant be lazy and assume every PSU is the same, because thier not. PERIOD

with that said, get either a Antec, Enermax, ePower Tagan, Seasonic, Fortron, PC Power and Cooling, Zippy/Emac, OCZ, CoolerMaster, Xclio or (last resort) Thermaltake power supply and nothing else

NOOOOOOOO, a psu is one of the most important parts of a build. it would be like a ferrari with a 90HP engine....don't skimp on the psu or bad things can happen the least of being horribly unstable and possibly messed up items.

personally i prefer corded ps2 mice/keyboards. this the mouse i use, and before it i had the model this one replaced. saves your shoulder/trap if you have any issues.
