Need Help Finding Drivers For Toshiba Laptop

Frost

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but heres my problem A friend of mine has a laptop which I just reinstalled Win2k on and Office Xp, but the laptop was designed by Toshiba and intended to Run in WinXp. The restore cd that came with the laptop is lost so I have idea how to get drivers. I tried looking for drivers on a winxp cd, but no luck.

I have the model number, and part number on the bottom, but I couldn't find anywhere at Toshiba's website to search either of those.

Thanks,
Frost

There should be a restore DVD that came with the laptop. Insert this disk while Windows is running and there should be an autorun menu system where you can specify and select which drivers to install, specific to that laptop. GENERALLY, most XP drivers now-a-days should work ok with 2K, but YMMV.

Good luck!

Hi, I too had problems finding anything on the Toshiba site. I had much better luck with driversguide. com. They will have things uploaded by others with the same request and will also redirect you to Toshiba for the drivers you are looking for. Luck, Jim

Thanks, joelslaw and airfoil but I have tried both those places, with no luck.

Bond: I know that, was my original plan but like I said in my original post I don't have that CD or DVD. Any idea as to where I could acquire a new dvd or this type?

Thanks Jim, I' try checking driversguide I haven't gone there yet.
