this is what i am running:

soltek sl-k890pro-939
amd 64 3000 939
corsair vs 2x512
bfg 6600 gt pci-e
raidmax scorpio atx-668wsp
windows xp sp2

in my old comp, i was able to run motherboard monitor & coolmon and set them up so i can see the process utilization, cpu temp, case temp and fan speeds. but the mbm doesnt support the soltek mobo. so is there any work around to find those temps & specs or is there another kind of prog that can do this? the prog that soltek provides only shows the cpu temp but i think it is not displaying the right temps cause it shows cpu temps at 48 idle & 54 after playing cs source. speedfan shows cpu temp at 43 idle & 52 after source so i am pretty sure they are not getting the correct readings. id also like to know if there was a way to find out the temps on the video card. can that be done as well? thanks in advance

Also, check the mobo manufactuer's web site. They may have a monitor app specifically for that mobo which would be more accurate than using a 3rd party app.

i tried the manufacturers app & it only shows cpu temp but it doesnt correlate with speedfan's so i am unsure if it is working properly. i also tried motherboard monitor but it does not support the soltek sl-k890 that i have

my bios says temps are around 38 idle but how do i access bios when computer is booted & running? how about video card temps? how do i access that info?

What CPU temp does the mobo manufacturer's utility indicate. I'd accept THAT one as the closest to the truth. Keep in mind that onboard temp monitoring hardware is notoriously inaccurate and my be off by up to 4 or 5 degrees. Use it as aa REFERENCE. Once you establish the "normal" operating CPU temp for your system (whatever it may be) then be concerned whenever it rises dramatically.
