Can't help if we don't know what motherboard you have.

Also, in device manager, does it show a name for an audio card? or is it a question mark?

What model is the soundblaster? Those didn't hold driver support very well.

Soundblasters don't work in Win7 & above, I believe, the way they interfaced into the system was now longer allowed in the newer Windows versions.

Go into the detail of the device listing, and somewhere is the hardware id and that's searchable in google. My audio device, for example, is:
ven_11d4&dev_1986

Or, a usb audio device is like $10 shipped from amazon, plug it in, drivers auto-install, you're done.

If you have good eyesight, you can spot the audio chip on the motherboard and read off the model number, put that into google. If it's not a realtek brand, like may be Analog Devices chip, use the model number to find any other motherboard with the same chip & Windows 7 drivers provided on their website. They will work on your system.

99% chance it's a realtek driver. Just get the latest for your OS.

There are still a lot of Analog Devices chips (like my own AM2 board), a few used the VIA Vinyl chip.

Plus Realtek auto-installs with Windows Update in Windows 7, I thought, of course you can still download their universal driver for better functionality... But anyways, suggests this likely isn't Realtek.
