Need help finding an HDTV ASAP

I was looking for a cheap reliable HDTV. I live in Canada. I think this one is Ok but it doesnt have 720p. It has 480i, 480p, 960i, 1080i. I plan to use it for gaming on Wii but maybe also ps3 if my friend brings it. Will it be ok?

Can anyone rate the above TV? (my parents distrust LCD a little bit...)

I need an answer ASAP because we will buy a TV very soon. (upgrading from 15 yr old a 24" JVC tube.)

Are you sure it doesn't support 720p? Right now, PS3 is having trouble, some games won't output in 1080i (lack of a video scaler maybe, so it has to change resolutions like a PC?) so your next choice is to drop the res down to SDTV res.

It's a 1080i set, but you can still give it 720p :thumbsup:

If it can accept 720p, you don't need to do anything differently, just plug in a 720p input and it will work and scale the input to 1080i.
