Im a senior in high school and need a quote for the yearbook. I beleive it is limited to 25 words. It cant be explicit. I've been looking but cant come up with much. Can you guys give me some help? I wold like something somewhat intriguing and thought-provoking, but not pretentious or overly done (like something about the expanding universe or a theries on government) And it would be great if it was funny. But not an out right joke or weird Dan Quale thing. Any source would work, Books, movies, south park, philosophers, anything. Something i could come back to in 30 years and reflect on, but at the same time hopefully make my friends laugh!

Thanks so much!

(I'm paraphrasing a bit, as I don't remember the exact wording) "Think about how stupid the average person is - and then consider that half of people are dumber than even them" - George Carlin.

You might be able to google the exact wording if it suits your fancy. Normally I'd do that before posting, but I'm far, far, far too drunk for all that stuff :D

^ I did it, anyway (that was my quote)

Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge? Where is the knowledge we have lost in information?
-- T. S. Eliot

The danger from computers is not that they will eventually get as smart as men, but we will meanwhile agree to meet them halfway.

who said being an abomination of human cartilage isn't a statement?
I wanna cut the corners off your lips,
I wanna shave the angles off your cheeks,
I wanna wash the geometry off your face.

dbl.pst.

maybe something from fight club?

"stage hands hammer stakes to her hands and knees.
the modern crucifixion legs parted in the shape of a V."

"You'll never see your wife
and children again so tell us what it was going through your head,
when you looked into their eyes
and said "no thanks i'll take the hooker instead"

"before I can live with other folks I've got to live with myself. The one thing that doesn't abide by majority rule is a person's conscience."

that's one of my favorites.

oh and obligatory

"i'm rich biatch"

"And tonight will go on forever while we
walk around this town like we own the streets
and stay awake through summer like we own the heat...I'm gonna stay eighteen forever
So we can stay like this forever...Just jealous cause we're young and in love "

"So, is that what you call a getaway?
Tell me what you got away with.
Cause I've seen more spine on jellyfish.
I've seen more guts in eleven-year-old kids.
Have another drink and drive yourself home.
I hope there's ice on all the roads.
And you can think of me when you forget your seatbelt,
and again when your head goes through the windshield."

"You think its strange, that there's a way
of how you looked, and how you act, and how you think
pretend they're not the same as you...Did we take the time to really discover,
how little we know about each other."

"nothing lasts, and he just knows that time,
is just spinning by, and life, is passing him by so fast.

Al said to me a few days ago that he just thought
for the first time in his life.
He feels that the last few years
were only a waste of time (only a waste of time)
Yes, it was always a compromise,
of what he always felt inside.
His declaration,
under the orange street light."

And you are beautiful but you don't mean a thing to me

or quote something from catcher in the rye.

Jeebus man.....be original and come up with your own quote. Is thinking too difficult for you or something? Why in the hell would you want to put someone else's words down as your quote?

Exactly. And whatever you do, do NOT use a Biblical quote. I hated all of those that just said "John 3:10" or something stupid like that. Come up with something yourself, it is infinitely more pleasing that way.

I say hurl. If you blow chunks and she comes back, she's yours. If you spew and she bolts, then it was never meant to be.

We mustn't worry about losing our past, for our past is already gone, it's gone and dead and lying buried, and in that our future lies waiting.

*Damn, 27 words.

Another one!

"You know how your mom says you'll grow out of 'toliet humor' and won't find it funny anymore? Well she was wrong."

(I didn't write this, someone said it on ATOT... don't remember who, though. :()

Thanks for the replies thus far. No one has quoted themselves in past yearbooks. You pick a quote that reflects you. im hoping this thread will at least give me a few good quote authors or quotes. Also, nothing computer related.

I just ignored the yearbook, costed money to do that junk.

Go to Despair.com and get something. Like "Always remember that you are unique, just like everybody else."

Dude, just be yourself. Pick something that you believe in, or something from your favorite movie/book.
