One of my Skullcandy Air Raid speakers is torn. The manufacturer doesn't make this speaker anymore and doesn't repair them. I searched all morning for a replacement speaker but not sure which one to get. I believe the speaker is a 2"inch 4 ohm 5watt neodymium full range speaker. It has a number on the back of 1415 but I tried to google it as a part number and had no success finding it. I looked at 2"inch 4 ohm 5watt neodymium speaker images on google and again no luck. My questions are:
  1. Does it matter if I change both speakers from a neodymium magnet speaker to ferrite magnet speaker other than weight?
  2. Would there be any negative issues if I went with a 10 watt speaker vs the 5 watt speaker that originally came with my unit?
  3. Do I need to get the same style speaker with a solid diaphragm/cone or can I use one with a cone in the middle. The original speaker sounded great so I don't want to change the style if it's going to change to sound but I haven't found the same speaker yet and might need to get an alternative speaker
Thanks

Try parts express. You need to measure screw hole and dimensions and stick to 4 ohm. Power handling doesn't matter much as long as it is bigger than original. Honestly I would just try to glue it with silicone. It is not worth fixing, Skull Candy sells garbage. Drivers all sound different so you do need to replace both.
