My current case is so small, the idle temperature with the case open and a huge fan blowing air in, and the stock fans that came wtih teh computer, is 46degrees Celsius. I really need a much bigger case because anything 3D overheats my computer with temperatures in excess of 70 Degrees Celsius. I dont know too much about computer. I know how to set one up and all. I wanted to know if my ASUS P4SD-VL on Socket 478 will fit onto a much bigger case, and If it does, can you recommend me a bigger case? And, if It comes with better cooling, thats a Plus too. With a stable ctemperature, I may be able to OC
Thanks

I believe that's a board they make just for OEM's. If it's a standard ATX motherboard, you can find lots of cases for it. :)

Oh! I know who has one like that!!! <check sig>

I have that board and probly the same pc. Anyways, just about any case will do, the only problem I had was the PSU in the Sony case couldnt be reused, it was proprietary. So get a case with a PSU or buy both, you wont be dissapointed. Whats your budget? Give me a budget to work with and I'll help ya out :p

Well. My rig is http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=PCVRZ54G&LOC=3
Except, my Videocard has been upgraded to Nvidia 6600 and I got an extra 1.5GB RAM. (The guy at Fry's liked Stargate SG-1 like me, so he gave me 512MB free. )

No idea bout the new case, but I dont care how nice it looks, needs to be MUCH bigger though, I was just gonna walk into Fry's and get one. I dont wanna handle everything in my case myself. After I get it transfered, I was gonna get the Nvidia 7800 GS, its the only thing for AGP that doesnt suck in nowadays' games. the case's budget is less than $80. $100 is alright, but I dont really care bout flashy LED spinning stuff and that. Anything thats not a white cubicle case, and very spacious.
I wanted to know if this mobo is under a "standard" like ATX or something so I can just buy one that I like.
Thanks for the help

Could someone just give me a standard so I can shop for a case? My first question is still unanswered. What KIND of case can I buy?

I picked up an Antec case from CompUSA for $21.60 OTD. Was a really good deal on an older case, but it's a huge hulking server case, so that may not work for you. Didn't come with a power supply though, but you can pick one up cheap at the Egg.

To answer your first question...its a mico ATX. But really doesnt make much difference. Most cases accept ATX and mATX. As I stated before just make sure you change out the PSU along with it. Here's a couple suggestions:

Antec LifeStyle SONATA II

or

Tuniq IC-TQ2-US-SVBK

and

<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817104953">

FSP Group (Fortron Source) 400w</a>

The second one recommended if you have a little more to spend. Altho the first is more economical and comes with a decent PSU. I'm concidering that Tuniq case myself now that I see it. I like the design. Anwho, no matter what you choose for a case, just make sure you get a quality PSU. Happy hunting :)
