Need help finding a ball for my kids to throw against interior walls

GasX

I have 3 boys and rather fight them on the issue of throwing balls in the house, I want to channel it to a certain location and minimize damage.

Can anyone recommend a specific ball that is ok to throw against interior walls without tearing them up? Something slightly larger than a tennis ball would be perfect...

Parent: I...

ATOT: Beat your children!

When the kids get loud, just throw them out in the snow. That's what my parents did.

Letting your kids throw shit in the house? Man up.

I remember doing that shit when I was a kid once. Once.

Really, though, you don't need to get them a ball to throw around the house. They already have the ones between your legs.

I enjoy throwing a ball around the house, or playing house soccer, or whatever. It's one of the joys of being an adult and having my own house with my own rules. My kids are another excuse to do that sort of thing. We use the nerf ball with no coating, as mentioned above.

My wife does get angry with me when we break stuff though.

I can't imagine you actually need help finding this type of a product....so let's talk about parenting.

What would be an acceptable location to throw balls? If you have a rec-room/unfinished area, those are usually excellent for raucous behavior that won't be tolerated in something like a dining room.

What type of balls are they throwing right now? Tennis? Soccer? Dodge-type balls?

When I was in grade-school, we used to play dodgeball with basketballs. Taking that to the face sucked! 🙂

Bowling balls, they are very forgiving on drywall.

I have a strict no throwing balls around inside the house rule. I won't let my son bounce or toss his basketball around in the house either. If he wants to practice then he has to go outside.

Nobody plays horse or pig indoors? We do trick shots off the walls/floor in the basement to land foam basketballs into buckets or baskets.

Remember these?

This is where you tell them "Next time you throw a ball in the house, I'm going to throw your fucking sack against the wall in the house. K?"
