Need help figuring out my system needs

Here is my current situation:

Play SCII and BF Bad Comp 2. Heavy Multi-tasking of office and internet apps.

I run a USB audio card as well as a 1x PCIe audio card.

Currently have a Q6700 on EVGA Nvidia mobo. Not enough PCIe slots to run modded 3x slot 5870 + Intel NIC + Audio Card.

I am thinking of pulling the Intel Nic and putting the audio card back in. I wanted to play with VLANs but its not needed.

Would it be INSANE at this point to buy a new 775 mobo with more slots like this one? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128433
 
Yes it would be insane. You should not be spending $140 on a 775 mobo at this time, especially since you already have a working one. Save your pennies and take the PCIe slot configuration into account when you upgrade to a Phenom II x6 or i7 930.
