need help figuring out a agp video card for a 24" widescreen LCD

i'm sure this thread has been brought about before.
im getting a 24" ws dell lcd with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200.
the video card i have no say's it maxes at 1600x1200 on DVI.

im looking to get a new agp video card (i know agp sucks but im not ready to go pci-express just quite yet) and run it native on dvi connection.


which video cards are options for me..

it has no rating of it's dvi cabability only its analog.

I would test your current card, I'm pretty sure it should be able to power your 2405FPW, the specs just might not be listed correctly.

but the max specs for dvi say 1600x1200 for my card.. its an evga 6800. 128meg.

That will definitely work at 1920x1200.

I just ordered the same monitor from Dell and I have a 6600GT. At first I was getting ready to buy another card, but Dells website, along with a few others said that my card could work at that resolution. As for in games....yeah right.

Those specs were written before widescreen resolutions were common, it's perfectly able to run at 1920x1200 (it won't be able to run the 3007FPW though)
