need help fast on amp/sub install

first of all I blew a fuse, I left the fuse in while moving around the power line and it shorted onto the body/frame. Will this cause a problem? The car starts fine and all still.

Also, the power cable was too long and I coiled a little bit under the rear seats, will this cause any problems?

Man, I don't think I should dick around with any hardware anymore, I'm a danger to myself and everyone around me. :Q

Becareful with those car battery voltages... they are a doozy... =)

You should be okay. That's why the fuse is in there. It takes the fall before worse stuff can happen.

Nope.

At least it's in your car...if it catches fire you can drive it away from trees and houses.

Thanks, the main thing is I was working in my garage, if the fuse didn't go out I could have set the car on fire, which then would have burned the house down. :Q

Everything should be fine, thats why the fuse is there.
And yes, always ALWAYS have a fuse. No more then 18" from the battery on the power wire, plus the amp fuse.
