Hello All,

I took the liberty earlier today of picking up a few parts at a computer show. Here is my list:

Duron 600 OEM
Generic Socket A cooler (not doing any overclocking so it shouldn't matter)
KT7A Raid
Generic Case w/ 300 Watt ps

I used the motherboard to replace my KT7 for my Athlon and figured I would give my finacee a new system built around the Duron to replace her aging Celery 366.

Here is what I have going into the system:

Duron 600 w/ Generic cooler, no overclocking.
192 CAS2 PC100
KT7
Generic Case
GeForce MX
13.6 Maxtor ATA66

There is more going in but that is the base of what I am installing on. Here is what happens:

With the PC100 (crucial and mushkin)I get no memory count or anything. If I put in some of my own Rev2 I get memory count and nothing else, it dies after that. If I put her PC100 in my machine I get a clean boot, no problems, it even shows the cpu as a Duron 700. The Duron is not cracked that I can see, and the motherboard has run fine for me for about 4 months.

That narrows it down to either: 1) PSU 2) KT7 3)Duron

I am going to try tomorrow with my known good powersupply, a known good CPU, and put the Duron on a known good KT7A.

My problem is that all of this was computer show bought, so returns are pretty much not an option. I did by with a CC so if it is bad hardware I can refuse to pay for that portion of it.

What I am looking for from you guys is what you suspect the likely culprit is! I have built and overclocked numerous machines, I know you have as well. Help me out here so my finacee doesn't kill me for spending $ on bad hardware!
