First of all this problem is on a Acer Aspire 5670 Laptop.

Last night my wife got a new cell phone with bluetooth. Her laptop has bluetooth as well so we tried to sync them togeather. Well for some reason the bluetooth appliction wasn't working so I went to the Acer site and downloaded it. This is what I downloaded.

So I go ahead and install the software and it tells me I need to reboot, so I go ahead and reboot and now each time I turn on the computer I get a blue screen with this error message.

"STOP! c00021a Fatal System Error

The windows login process has termated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000139 (0x00000000 0x000000000) The computer will now shut down"

And then the computer will restart and do this till I shut it off. Can and one tell me if there is a fix to this or what I need to do. I want to avoid formating since she has alot of stuff on this computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Restart the system and tap F8 till you get a startup menu and choose "last known good configuration"

Nothing worked under safe mode. The same screen poped up.

Will doing this work. If I create a new partition unsing the DOS version of partition magic then install windows on that partition, then reboot, load the new version of windows, then copy everything she needs off of the computer?

Thats didn't seem to work, and when I made the other partition I couldn't access her user folder.

I had to save her files. What I did was made a new partition with the DOS version of partition magic, installed XP on that, then used Norton Ghost to ghost the C: drive and got the files from that and saved them to my computer. Then after that I formatted and reinstalled XP on the laptop.
