Compaq strikes again! Their piss poor service never ceases to amaze me. I have a Presario 1510T laptop with an ATI Mobility Radeon IGP 32MB graphics chip. Compaq does not provide the video driver for this chipset on their website or on cdrom. They mailed me a cd, but it's the quick restore. A quick call to Compaq non-tech support confirmed that to install the video driver would require a reimage of the pc. Seeing as Compaq sent me the WRONG installation cds for this laptop in the first place, I don't want to have to backup all my work and reimage this machine if I don't have to. According to ATI, they cannot make a generic driver for their mobility chipsets, you have to get them from the manufacturer. Is there any way to extract the vid driver from a compaq restore cd?
TIA!
TIA!
