Long story short, boss offered to get me another monitor for my work station. The 5770 can drive 3 monitors and having eyes on 3 apps I work with mostly would help me work faster so I said why not.
2 monitors are hooked up via DVI to VGA, third via DVI 2 HDMI. Only 2 monitors at a time.
Based on my research I did so far, a simple HDMI to display port won't work. Initially I thought any display port 2 HDMI to adapter would work based on a forum post but the user has A 5770 Flex card, which has a chip that does active.
I can't figure out which option will work for me and where to buy it. It appears Unitek Y-6301 is an active DP2HDMI adapter but I can't find a buying option with US$. To make matters worse, other adapters sold on most frequented sites have either a mini DP or a DVI connector, thinking even if those adapters happen to work connecting another adapter could break it. TIA
EDIT: Was too focused on the HDMI, all I have to do is connect one of the VGA to a DP converter. Mods, please close/delete.
