need help... dont know how to overclock

I just need to know what settings I need to do to overclock... Please do them simple and easy to understand... What should I watch out for when overclocking and what would be a safe level?

I have the following components..
-Generic 1Gb PC3200 Ram
-2.8CGHZ Processor
-Gigabyte Motherboard

If you have to ask, it's probably time to hit google.

Generally people have been bumping up the FSB. So check that first.

go until you can not boot into windows .. then back down

go until you can boot into windows but is unstable on high CPU programs .. then back down

go until you can boot into windows and runm prime95 for 12+ hours ..

that's my own experience. YMMV.

can you please tell me how to overclock my system using bios. I have never done it before. How will I know when I overclock it what it is running at. I was going to try get 3.2CGHZ from a 2.8CGHZ but i think im wishing for 2 much

ok i have adjusted the fsb to 230 which is multiplied by 14 giving me the 3.2GHZ im not sure if there is anything else I need to change in over clocking
