So I am taking an Anatomy class now at college and its a very very tough class. Only thing thats gunna help me out alot is that class participation is 10% of the grade and also there is an extra credit project that can add up to 8% onto your average and as anyone can tell thats huge. There is a catch though everyone has the opportunity at this project and only the best project gets the full 8% if its a well done job but not the best you get 5%. While I have done my share of PP presentation b4 I want to do one this time that is far and away the best so can anyone point me in the direction of some good tutorials? I mean everyone in the class will be using the same info so I just have to make sure that I find really good picture and make the most out of PP. Thanks in advanced.

Do NOT use sounds for transitions. They make the audience cringe at every animation and make you look childish and unprofessional. Simplicity yet captivating is the key.

A lot of times, it is YOU who needs to be captivating and not the powerpoint. For this exercise though, if everyone is talking about the same thing, it will be somewhat more difficult.

Use SMALL looping GIF or movie files as you speak to show muscles moving or something to help them understand.

NO bright ANYTHING! Especially your fonts... I could kill some presenters out there... (exception is when you really want their attention on something.. try not to use the flashing text either)

Pick a nice background, since they will be looking at it the whole time. You can try for something downloaded from the net. The default ones that comes with powerpoint will probably be used repeatedly. Don't try to get too fancy on that though. Look though the default ones as MS probably spend some time designing them. Deviate from them, but stick to the same principle of non intrusive colors.

Animation is OK. As I've mentioned multiple times before, not overdoing them is a very good thing.

GOOD LUCK!
