Hello.

My brother just got his Coolermaster CM Stacker 832">http://www.coolermaster.com/pr...t.php?act=detail&id=17</a> in today. As a recap, this case has 4 "side" fans, 1 fan on the front, 1 fan on the back and 1 fan on the top.

The question I have is, how should we place the fans?

This is what I was considering:

Option 1
Rear Fan: Blowing air out of case (highspeed fan)
Top Fan: Blowing air into case
Front Fan: Blowing air into case
Side Fans: Were not going to use them (though I do have extra fans for them).

Option 2:
Rear Fan: Blowing air into case
Top Fan: Blowing air out of case
Front Fan: Blowing air into case
Side Fans: 1 fan blowing air into case

Not sure what the best method here is so could use a hand.

As for what is in the case, there will be a E8400 CPU, Arctic Freezer Pro and we will be going for an overclock in the 3.6 to 3.8ghz range (nothing extreme).

Thanks.

Generally, you want cold air through the bottom, front, and side, and hot air through the back and top. If you set up the side fans to blow in, you could have the rear, top, and front fans blow out...

Check which way your CPU fan blows (normally to the back) and arrange the airflow though the case to assist, rather than disturb, that. Remember, hot air rises. Take cool air in at the bottom, and vent the exhaust (hot) air at the top.

Be careful using side and front intakes. Sometimes the overall airflow can be disturbed where the side and front flows meet and can negatively affect the cooling.

So your suggesting blowing Air IN the back and front and then blowing air OUT the top?
