Hey, I used to have a Geforce II GTS-V 32MEG DDR AGP card, which ran quite good imo..

but i just recieved an ATI Radeon VE DDR 64Meg AGP Card (On card, it says Ati Radeon Rv100) (Also, on the back of this card, it says "powered by ati" instead of "made by ati")

I dont know which to keep, because I have no expierence with ATI cards... Anyone have any of these cards, and can tell there expierence on how fast, stable, and whatnot they had..

thnx!

dude, keep the radeon. this is a sweet card (i've got one) & can be unlocked to achieve full radeon performance (not radeon 7500 or 8500, but plain old radeon). see the rage3d site for their excellent tweaker that will unlock the potential of this card and also let you overclock it. i was able to almost double my frames rates with some relatively easy tweaks.

good luck ...

Not quite ... Radeon VE aka Radeon 7000 can be unlocked to use all the rendering engine features the "full" Radeon (aka 7200) has, yet still the 7000 has only one rendering pipeline while the 7200 has two. In return, R7000 has two _output_ pipelines, is dual monitor capable.

I'm guessing JoeCool is confusing the Radeon VE/7000 with the old Radeon LE.

LE flavors were made from 7500 and up, and are basically lower clocked versions of the same thing, often combined with slower RAM configurations. There's nothing to unlock on those at all.

Your forgetting the original Radeon LE. It was a modified Radeon 32MB DDR, available only in OEM. It was supposed to be a European only model, but was easily available in North America nonetheless.
A hell of a budget card at one point in time.
148/148 core/mem clockspeed rather then the 166/166 of the reg. 32MB DDR, it also had HyperZ disabled by default. Once one re-enabled HyperZ in the registry which was pretty simple it offered 92% of the performance of the Retail 32MB DDR for around $75. This at a time when the 32MB DDR was still selling for over $200.

It generally overclocked very well also.

Well, after doing a lot of research and tests, I have found out the GeForce II GTS-V is WAY better then ATI Radeon VE (or 7000 Series). I have found out, the radeon ve is lower then a Geforce II MX400 ... And, I also did many game tests.... Like playing Spiderman The Movie: The Game, and found it to be very laggy with ATI...

So Geforce II = The way to go!
